Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Do you have a fear of wisdom tooth extraction process because you are unaware of what is about to happen? We will provide you with all the information you need before an extraction and even give some insight into the process below.

It is vitally important to avoid brushing your teeth for 24 hours after your tooth or teeth have been extracted.

The next day you can start gently brushing around the extracted area, continuing this for the balance of the recovery time. DO NOT drive, drink alcohol or operate machinery after your oral surgery. Make sure someone is there to drive you to the dentist and pick you up and stay with you afterwards to ensure you are ok and provide help if you need it. All the bleeding should halt after 24 hours but if it continues please come see us immediately.

Our suggestion is that you get your wisdom teeth taken out in your late teens or early 20s for easier removal and quicker recovery. Most wisdom teeth problems happen between 15-25 years of age.
